On 31, July, 2000 Waterford Crystal launched the Times Square
Experience exhibit and invited guests to relive the excitement,
which surrounded the New Year’s Eve celebrations in Times
Square, New York. A replica of the giant Waterford Crystal
ball which formed the focal point of the New Year’s Eve
celebrations was unveiled by the American Ambassador, The
Honourable Michael Sullivan, Redmond O'Donoghue, Chief Operating
Officer of Waterford Wedgwood and John Foley, Chief Executive
of Waterford Crystal.
Enjoying
an American theme evening, we ate hot dogs and drank Budweiser
before enjoying an evening of song and dance by a Frank
Sinatra tribute artist, who raised the ceilings with the
old classic, "New York, New York" More events will follow
and if you are visiting our Centre on any of the major holidays
such as St. Patrick’s Day or Independence Day, you’ll find
that we always try to make the day a real occasion for celebration.
