In front of your eyes, you will see red-hot molten crystal take shape, in a miracle of light, heat and skill. Our craftspeople are meticulous and you can watch as they transform glowing balls of molten crystal into elegant shapes with skills that have made two hundred years of perfection clearly visible in every piece.

The ‘secret’ formula for Waterford Crystal is a special mix of Litharge, Silica Sand and Potash.

Smaller quantities of other chemicals make up the unique formula, which gives our crystal its very special sparkle and the remarkable weight of the finished product.

 
Wooden tools are used for shaping the molten crystal. The tools are usually made of Beech and Pear wood.
