Step into the most momentous event in our history as we re-create the magic and excitement of the Millennium Times Square celebrations in New York. It was our greatest privilege to be invited to design and create the Times Square Millennium Ball to officially welcome in the New Millennium on New Years Eve in New York.

In a specially constructed room with a replica of the ball itself , you have the chance to experience the overwhelming levels of crowd excitement which was enjoyed by over one million people who were in Times Square on that magical night.

  • The Times Square Millennium Ball was the largest, most expensive project in the history of Waterford Crystal.
  • It is constructed with 504 triangular pieces of crystal.

  • The Ball has 600 multi-coloured light bulbs and 96 Strobe Lights.
  • The Ball is 6 ft in diameter
  • It weighs 1070 lbs.
  • 40 craftsmen and technical engineers created the Ball.

  • The triangles feature the ‘Star of Hope’ design. The seven points represent the seven continents of the earth. The cross over points in the centre represents Mother Earth.

  • An audience of one million people were present in Times Square and an estimated one billion people world wide watched it’s descent on TV and the Internet that night.
